A picture can replace thousands of words, but what's more 'horror' when that photo can ... say a few words?
Italian company Zanetti Studio is trying to create a color printer that prints a photo or a printed sheet of paper that is capable of pronouncing in a short time.
Zanetti Studio says its color printer is called Speekysmart. During the printing process, Speekysmart will print on a certain edge of the photo or paper in a special magnetic tape capable of sounding. Zanetti Studio says the tape is a technology called Speakpaper. This type of speech paper can now emit sound for a few seconds as soon as the image is printed.
Zanetti Studio has been focusing on speech recognition for many years. Giancarlo Zanetti, director of Zanetti Studio, says his company needs three years to perfect and launch this unique product.
Zanetti has hardly disclosed any details about this type of paper, but said that when printed, the image could be 'spoken' through the printer's speakers, and the company would produce a piece of equipment A computer mouse is used to record all sounds on paper, and it is also a sounding device when it scans the spoken word. In the future, Zanetti will integrate this technology into mobile phones and users will only need to scan their cell phones on paper to say that the phone will automatically emit any sound recorded on paper.
Zanetti's speech-recorder and speech-recognition device can now output a soundtrack that lasts about 5 seconds. The new version being tested can sound up to 15 seconds. Zanetti's goal is to successfully develop paper and read-write devices with up to 3 minutes of audio playback.
Zanetti said the technology is of course extremely attractive to all users, but it is especially useful for visually impaired people.
Zanetti currently has seven partners, including world-class print technology companies. It is known that the world's leading printing technology group is also working on a project similar to Zanetti's talk paper.
