Cyrus the Great Tomb at the ancient capital of Pasargadae in Iran

Pasargadae is the capital of the first dynasty of the Achaemenid Empire - the empire founded by Cyrus the Great . This empire was created in the 6th century BC.

Criterion (i): Pasargadae relics are outstanding evidence for Achaemenid dynasty architectural style.

Criterion (ii): Pasargadae is the capital of the first dynasty of the Achaemenid Empire - the empire founded by Cyrus the Great. This capital was built with the influence of many different cultures and peoples so this monument became a testament to a period of development of ancient Persian art.

Criterion (iii): Pasargadae relics with the architectural works here in which the most prominent is the tomb of the founder of the dynasty - Cyrus Dat De represents a historical period of the hero empire Strong Persian.

Criterion (iv): Pasargadae relics in general and architectural works here in particular become prototypes for Western Asian architectural style and have a strong influence a long time later.
