Telegraph said, the Council of Europe has established a committee to investigate the impact of mobile phone waves and wi-fi waves on the health of students of all ages. This committee announced the investigation report on May 14.

According to the report, if any type of wave can cause many harms to human health, governments need to take emergency measures to protect children . Specifically, schools should ban the use of mobile phones and stop installing wi-fi transmitters in the classroom as well as on campus.

The report also warns about the negative effects of wireless phones and child surveillance cameras - two things that are being used quite popularly in rich countries.

In the past, public opinion was concerned that the electromagnetic radiation emitted by mobile phones could cause cancer and negatively affect the intellectual development process. However, the World Health Organization claims electromagnetic radiation does not cause harm or negligible harm to human health.

The Council of Europe - a 47-member organization and based in Strasbourg, France - cannot impose orders on countries, but has a great influence on policy-making activities of the major covered. Decisions of the Council of Europe are often included in international treaties and conventions.
