Planting reeds to treat polluted river water
With the technical support of Ebara Group (Japan), many residential areas, tourist areas, trade villages and industrial zones in some localities in the Red and Mekong River basins have implemented the method of making Clean polluted river water by planting reeds.

Along with this natural water purification method, Ebara is also transferring modern recycling and water treatment technology to Vietnam. This technology has the ability to remove nitrogen and a small amount of organic matter in filtered water, while removing heavy metals and dioxins, ensuring the quality of reusable water.
The system can also treat wastewater, rainwater for reuse in toilets, cooling water for car washing and for fire purposes.
Mr. Dang Tran Dong, system engineer of Ebara Hai Duong Company, said this is a water recycling technology that has been applied in many countries around the world.
