Nearly 50 students of the Department of Biology, University of Education (Da Nang University) and the Zoological Association of Frankfurt (Germany) have just fielded in the Nature Reserve on Son Tra Peninsula (Da Nang) in the program 'Bao Primate species' survival is organized by the Frankfurt Zoological Society.

Previously, a resident in Q.Son Tra, Da Nang City came to Son Tra Nature Reserve to hand over a brown-shanked douc langur.
According to the zoology association Frankfurt , this is a brown-shanked douc langur about 2 months old, not looking for food itself.
The red-shanked douc langur belongs to the rare and precious animal group IB (according to the Vietnam Red Book) and the species are in conservation status. According to the study of Frankfurt Zoological Society , Son Tra Nature Reserve also has about 200 individuals of brown-shanked douc langur which are in great need of protection.
