Parker used a special WISPR shooting device to take photos 27.2 million kilometers from the Sun's surface. When sending data on the first solar-powered trip, the ship also broke the record of the fastest artificial objects moving in space.

"We need to move in here so we can sample a new plasma, take a new form of material, and see the processes or physical phenomena going on," explained Nicola Fox, an expert at NASA. "Almost certainly we will have new findings , " Raouafi added.
