(Photo: Vista.gov.vn) Typically like Mr. Sau Kiem's case (Hamlet 1). He stocked 37 kg of baby perch (about 500 fish / kg, cost 40,000 VND / kg) on a plastic covered pond of 500 m2. After 4 months, he harvested over 650 kg of meat fish (average price 30,000 VND / kg). After deducting costs and interests of over VND 2 million (not including more than 20 kg of small fish he will continue to feed). In Hamlet 2, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Loan drops 20 kg on an area of 300 m2. Until now, her fish pond is 2 months old and growing well (about 20 fish / kg). According to calculations, the total cost she spent about 8 million. It is expected to harvest in early November 2006 with an amount of about 400 kg of meat fish.

Method of feeding : When treating ponds and lakes, use plastic cloth (canvas) to cover the edges and bottom of the pond. Then add water, with a depth of about 1.5 - 1.6 meters, then proceed to create an ecological environment and release fish. First month, use industrial food to feed fish. From the second month onwards, it is possible to feed fish by using rice bran (if there is wormwood, the better). Remember to pay attention to changing water for fish, about 15-20 days / time to protect the living environment. The advantage of this farming method is to avoid loss, avoid environmental pollution, increase fish pH, make it easy and give high profit.

At present, Phuoc Thanh commune has 9 households raising fish according to this model. Mr. Nguyen Nhut Tan - Vice Chairman of Commune Farmers' Association, said: 'Through surveying farmers, fish grow well and relatives are learning experiences to follow.'
