Rare bat species in Africa

Rare bat species found in the tropical forests of African countries show the diverse distribution of bats on this continent.

1. Rhinolophus Blasii

Rhinolophus blasii is a horseshoe of the horseshoe family, often found in the Mediterranean, Middle East and North Africa. This bat is usually about 50mm long and weighs about 12-15 grams. In the picture is a bat found from Mabu mountain, north of Mozambique.

5. Kerivoula Lanosa

Kerivoula lanosa is quite small in weight, only about 4-5 grams, living in dense forests. Kerivoula lanosa bat has dark brown fur, dotted with long white hairs. In Australia, Kerivoula Lanosa bats living on food sources are spiders that spread silk on narrow forest paths or among foliage.

6. Myotis Welwitschii

Myotis Welwitschii bat is one of the rare bats. This bat has red wings with black spots and spots, which can migrate seasonally.

7. Rhinolophus Clivosus

Rhinolophus clivosus is a larger bat and has a larger number of bats R. blasii and R. simulator. These bats often feed in large areas and steppe areas.
