Released endangered chicken stamp set
A set of stamps with images of chickens (photos) will be released by the Ministry of Posts and Telematics in collaboration with BirdLife International Program (Global Network of Conservation Organizations in more than 100 countries) in Vietnam. April 1, 2006.
Accordingly, each stamp issued will bear the symbol of BirdLife International consisting of five species of chickens in Vietnam but at risk of extinction: chickens of ancient antlers ( Arborophila davidi ), white-edged pheasants ( Lophura edwardsi ), white-tailed pheasant ( Lophura hatinhensis ), red-faced chicken ( Polyplectron germaini ) and haemorrhoids ( Rheinardia ocellata ).
