Robot breeders wake up in the universe

Yesterday, the ground controller of the US Aerospace Agency (NASA) first activated Robonaut since the first humanoid robot was brought to the International Space Station in February.

The first is to power the entire system of Robonaut. Next week, the robot will be ordered to move.

The four cameras in Robonaut 's eye role are turned on. An infrared camera placed in the robot's mouth is also activated. Robonaut will act as an astronaut's assistant.

The control unit turned on Robonaut's main computer system and more than 30 microprocessors mounted in two hands of the robot to control the joints.

On September 1, the ground controllers ordered Robonaut to move her fingers, hands and arms.'He slept for about a year, so he stretched his legs 1 inch. Like astronauts who have to get used to the zero gravity environment, our robots have to do the same, swing a bit and learn how to move , 'said Nicolaus Radford, NASA's deputy robot project director.

Currently, Robonaut has just been completed from the waist up. It is 1m high and weighs approximately 150kg. The robot arm is 81.3cm long. Robonaut's legs are being designed and will be completed in 2013.

Mr. Radford said, early next year, Robonaut will measure air velocity in the space station and some other errands. In the future, robots will be improved to step out of space to perform some astronauts' missions.
