Dr. Nguyen Duc Thanh, Faculty of Electrical and Electronics, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology has successfully researched human emotion recognition robots.
This robot is composed of 3 parts: 2 camera control head and 1 motor controlling camera angle for camera axis; the body consists of 3 levels of machine and control circuit; foot section includes 3 engines, damping gearbox.
This robot will recognize the human face to move with emotion: When you are sad, the robot will come to comfort; When you're happy, the robot will move away . Identification will be done because the embedded computer on the robot performs and transmits the results to microprocessors that control camera and robot movement.

According to Dr. Thanh, this product is based on the study of algorithms to recognize and classify human emotions including sadness, happiness, anger . facial expression. This algorithm is highly accurate, with 90% or more.
Dr. Thanh said, in the near future, the group will complete the product in the direction of: increasing the number of emotions, increasing the accuracy, changing the structure of the robot robot more firmly, changing the behavior of more attractive robots .
