Engineers at Toyohashi Technical University (Japan) introduced the STB trash robot, equipped with a processor, video camera and speaker, as well as an IR sensor, sensor infrared ray and distance sensor.
In the form of a trash bin , the STB robot can identify where a public area is, thanks to sensors that detect the body heat of passers-by and run to places where people are gathered.
With the aid of distance sensors, robots can automatically move to crowded places, and when it arrives, it will use a camera combined with an object recognition algorithm to find out. The garbage, according to Gizmag.
When the garbage is seen, it emits a voice asking the nearby person to pick up rubbish.
The infrared sensor on the cover is intended to alert the STB in case it has received trash in the bin.
