A 3.4 meter long crocodile, weighs 227kg died of a fatal wound at the head when trying to attack a small propeller plane Piper Navajo landing at Orlando Executive Airport, Florida, USA 1/1 6, according to USA Today.

The photo of Rick Crose pilot standing next to the dead crocodile on the runway was shared by colleague Brad Pierce on Facebook on June 6, attracting many views and sharing. According to Crose, the crocodile tried to attack the plane.

"I was told Crose was landing the Navajo when he discovered the crocodile jumped and attacked and hit the plane. The crocodile was killed immediately while the plane was damaged. This is one of The most bizarre things I've ever seen in years of my career , " said Piece.

An animal expert gave the crocodile's body from Orlando Executive airport. The crocodile can live in one of the lakes adjacent to the airport. It may stray into the runway in the dark night, feeling threatened by the sound of aircraft engines, so it has an offensive behavior, but ultimately pays dearly.

In the United States there are more than one million wild crocodiles, but only 4 cases of crocodiles were hit by aircraft from 1988 to present. The last time a plane crashed into a crocodile at Southwest Florida International Airport at Fort Myers in 2013.
