According to the US Geological Survey (US.GS), the seismic center is located 14.5 km northeast of San Jose city, 9.2 km deep and the tremor spreads to the area with a radius of 129 km, but No significant casualties. However, a committee of scientists announced on October 31 that there could be greater earthquakes in the next few days.

Seismic professor at the University of California Roland Burgmann stated that it is impossible to say when the earthquake will happen, 'maybe tomorrow or the next 10 years'. Seismic experts say the area is located on the link between Calaveras and Hayward, which relates to densely populated cities like Richmond, Oakland and Berkeley.

The concern for experts is that Hayward milling moves on an average of about 140 years. But 139 years ago, an earthquake caused by this movement was estimated at 7 on the Richter scale, leveled many homes and killed 30 people. The horrific earthquake of 1989 also killed 61 people.
