Iranian Vice President Mohammad-Javad Mohammadizadeh said the air pollution prevention committee in Tehran made the decision after the thickly covered fog during the past three days did not go away and this situation could be last for at least the next few days.

In the past few days, authorities in Tehran have also taken measures to deal with pollution such as traffic restrictions, warning people not to go out if not really necessary.
