Development Program for Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) in Vietnam period 2010-2020 is being developed. This strategy will be integrated into the Socio-Economic Development Strategy for the period of 2010-2020 and will provide greater development goals for the country in which progress in the STI system will bring closure. Positive contribution. In addition to the emphasis being placed on innovation activities as key elements in the STI strategy, the strengthening of Vietnam's position in key technologies (shown in the High Technology Law) will be adding great efforts to ensure the effective application and exploitation of S&T knowledge.

The participants of the Conference were experts working in STI-related fields such as public policy agencies, scientific committees, public and private R&D centers (R&D). , universities, innovation factories, technology parks, technology park management boards, .

Professor José Miguel Fernández-Guell, Polytechnic University of Madrid - UNIDO expert presented the design of scenario options, discussing the factors driving the script; choose the scenario axis; build 4 scenarios for threshold 2020. The experts then divided into 4 groups and worked continuously for 2 days to analyze and develop possible scenarios for Vietnam S&T by 2020.

This workshop is within the framework of the Cooperation Policy Advisory Project on Science and Technology Strategy and Innovation for the period 2011-2020 and the implementation of the High Technology Law funded by UNIDO.
