In the absence of snow and ice reserves, the amount of water in the natural reservoirs in the area will decrease by 36% in the dry season. Ginot said that transplanting ice blocks and storing them artificially could help alleviate the shortage.

Earlier, the leaders of the 'Ice Memorandum' project had designed an ice store in Antarctica to store ice samples of 50 points around the world. The project has also obtained ice samples from the peak of Mont Blanc (Europe's highest mountain), and the upcoming science group will sample samples from Russia and Nepal.
