We will feel that wine is better when drinking in a room with blue or red light, psychologists say.

For decades people have always thought that the color of alcohol affects the feelings of drinkers. According to the Telegraph, experts from Mainz University, Germany also said that light colors in the external environment also have a similar role. To verify, they recruited a group of volunteers to drink long-time wine to conduct an experiment.

The team gave each volunteer a bottle of identical grape wine and asked them to indulge in rooms with different color lights. After drinking in each volunteer room, it is necessary to assess the level of deliciousness of alcohol on a scale.

The results show that the color of light in the room actually makes a difference in the drinker's perception of alcohol. On average, all volunteers felt that the sweetness of the wine in the room had red light 1.5 times higher than the room with white or green light. Most test participants felt the smell of grapes and tended to sip larger under red and blue light.

"Light in the surrounding environment affects people's sense of the taste of wine. In the past, we thought that people often felt wine tasted better when they drank in the light they liked. But This study shows that this phenomenon is not so simple, " said Dr. Daniel Oberfeld-Twistel, lead researcher.

Oberfeld-Twistel said that he and his colleagues will have to conduct more tests to find out the mechanism of the impact of external light on the perception of wine of people.

"We think that some colors create a sense of excitement and happiness in people. When you're in a positive mood, we often feel that alcohol is getting better , " he said.
