Snowfall buried dozens of people in Pakistan
On February 18, a horrific snowfall claimed 20 lives in a mountainous village in northern Pakistan, while another 30 were still buried in a 1.5-2m thick snow.
According to police sources, avalanches have completely buried four houses and seriously damaged some other high-rise buildings.
Police and rescue forces were present at the scene, the government also sent a plane to the disaster site, but the rescue work was difficult due to heavy snowfall, while the area was not have communication system.
Before that, on the evening of February 15, at a place about 150 km away from the village, a large block of snowfall had buried 7 people.
Snowfall and landslides occur frequently in the northern mountains of Pakistan, obstructing traffic and isolating these areas from other regions.
