Sociable people live long

Being able to control well or absorb new things doesn't mean you will live long. Meanwhile, a peaceful lifestyle is something that is almost decisive for you to be a hundred years old.

Do some types of personality make people live longer?

To answer this question, a study published in the American Geriatrics Society investigated the personality of 246 children of people who lived at least 100 years old. The study selected children of older people because they were easier to follow over time than older ones (because they could die before the study ended). In addition, children of people who live up to hundred years of age often live longer.

Research has shown that people who live the longest are more sociable, more active and less excited than others. Long-life women are also more likely to empathize and cooperate than women with normal lifespans.

This finding is similar to what evolution has said: extroverts to make friends and help others are often able to accumulate resources for themselves, and overcome difficult times. .

However, the interesting thing in this study is that some of the other features that you can consider as an advantage are not helpful for long life. For example, people with more restraint do not mean that they will live longer. Or as someone who is receptive to new things has no relation to life expectancy.

In any case, new research suggests that if you want to live long, you should try to live as much as you can.
