Solar water purifier

Engineer Phan Tri Dung, Chairman of the Board of New Technology Research Center in Ho Chi Minh City, said the center has just produced solar water purifiers.

The NCT-01 includes a parabolic mirror system with a diameter of 1.5m, a water pot ( salty or contaminated water ), condensers, a activated carbon box to filter the water. The mirror will automatically rotate to catch the sun to create water to boil water. The steam will pass through the spiral condenser to produce fresh water, averaging 10 liters of salt water will produce 7 liters of fresh water.

In case of using contaminated water, the machine has an additional activated carbon box to produce pure water.

After fabrication, the machine was tested in Lam Dong and Binh Thuan, which lacked fresh water during the dry season
