Hankook Mirae (Korea) is developing a giant human-like fighting robot. This is what we usually see only in science fiction films.
According to BGR, Hankook Mirae's robot is called Method-2 and has a height of 4 meters and a weight of 4 tons. Method-2's metal arm can lift a weight of up to 135kg and can move as flexible as human hands.
The robot is called Method-2.
This robot can be controlled via a person sitting inside or by remote control. Method-2 is reminiscent of a fearsome fighting robot coming out of the popular science fiction movie Avatar.
Method-2 robots still need about a year to complete, but many Korean businesses are already interested and ordered. Hankook Mirae says that Method-2 will be very useful at warehouses or construction sites where large volumes of goods are required to be high.
In addition, Method-2 also has the potential to border patrols in a sensitive area, such as the border between Korea and Korea, according to the Phys.org report. With its inherent strength and armed with weapons, this robot would be a nightmare for any intruders it encounters.
This robot costs $ 8.3 million.
The expected price for Method-2 ownership will be about 10 billion won, equivalent to 8.3 million. Hankook Mirae is planning to launch a finished version of Method-2 by the end of 2017.
