Shinil Group, the Korean company responsible for searching Russia's "treasure ship" over the years, confirmed the shape and details of the wreck on the matching ship Dmitri Donskoii .

The company has sent two submarine drivers to check the scene from the weekend.

At the time of discovery, the head was down at a depth of 430 meters, while the tail was facing up, 380 meters from the water surface.

The representative of the company said that the hull was badly damaged due to the artillery bombardment with its nearly broken tail. However, the deck and the sides of the ship are in good conservation.

The Russian army was reported to have used the Dmitri Donskoii during the Russo-Japanese war in the early 1900s. The ship was wrecked in 1905.

In public opinion, rumors have circulated that, when sunk, the Dmitri Donskoii brought down the seabed of 5,500 gold ingots and gold coins, worth today worth 150 trillion won (133, 4 billion USD. It is still unclear whether all of these precious metals remain in the wreck.

"We are working on salvaging the wreck. We are also taking steps to clarify legal issues regarding the owner of the shipwreck," revealed a Shinil Group official.
