Typhoon Tembin made landfall in South Korea causing much damage

After sweeping the provinces of Central and Eastern China, on August 30, Typhoon Tembin landed on the southern coast of South Korea and caused much damage.

According to the Korea Meteorological Center, with winds of 83km / h, Typhoon Tembin has caused heavy rain in many places, rainfall has measured up to 150mm.

South Korean authorities announced that at least two people were killed, including a 66-year-old man in the central city of Cheonan who died of landslides and a 52-year-old woman.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Transport said that nearly 200 domestic and international flights had to be postponed, many waterways in the South and Southwest regions also had to stop operating due to heavy thunderstorms. Many schools also have to close temporarily.

According to experts, Typhoon Tembin is moving northeast with a speed of 24 km / h and is expected to reach the Japanese coast on August 30th. However, the storm will decline in intensity to a tropical storm on August 31 morning.

Tembin is the second storm to hit South Korea this week. Earlier, on August 28, South Korea suffered the Bolaven storm, which caused the worst damage in a decade, causing at least 19 people to die.
