Australian researcher David Sinn at the Australian Association of Animal Behavior Research observed the behavior of squid (Euprymna tasmanica), living in South Australia, Victoria and Tasmania.

In general, these squid often live lonely, dry, tend to eat neighbor meat and sexual violence. However, among them, Sinn also found some shy, cautious males, while others were brave, aggressive and adventurous.

"For example, when attacked, the aggressors strike back and are ready to fight. While others are more shy, they shrink and retreat," Sinn said.

Previous research has shown that these features of squid are 30% genetic. But now there is evidence that some of the squid can adapt to the environment by learning to soften their idleness or shake the shyness.

Sinn said squid and other mollusks are quite intelligent . Natural evolution compensates for the lack of a shell with a developed brain to help them protect themselves. According to him, understanding the biological foundation and the evolution of ink characteristics will be the key to mastering the growth of animals.

Sinn's next project was to investigate the role of personality in the sex life of ink. He said that the brave girls would like the strong guy, and the shyness would be less selective.
