The Mahasen storm is expected to land on the Bangladesh-Myanmar border area on dawn today, causing waves of 1-2 meters high in the lowlands and offshore islands.

Hundreds of thousands of people from both countries have been asked to evacuate, with Myanmar expected to evacuate to 166,000 people.
