Starting Robocon 2012 in the whole country

The regional rounds of the 2012 Robocon contest have started to start in all three regions of North - Central - South from April 2 last.

Qualifying round of Robocon Vietnam 2012 will take place from April 2, 2012 to April 10, 2012 at 3 areas: Hanoi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City. Ho Chi Minh City with the participation of nearly 225 teams from universities, colleges, professional high schools in the country.

The first start is the Central Region qualifier which takes place from April 2 to April 4 with the participation of 36 teams from 10 schools in Da Nang.

Southern Regional Qualifiers will take place April 4-7 at the Rach Mieu Gymnasium in Ho Chi Minh City, with the participation of 52 teams from 15 schools.

This morning, April 6 took place the first matches of the Northern Regional qualifiers with the participation of 139 teams from 25 schools in the Sports Center of Tay Ho District, Hanoi.

According to the plan, 32 teams with the highest scores will gather at Military Zone 7 Arena, Ho Chi Minh City to participate in the national finals held May 7 - 13.

The winner of the competition will represent Vietnam to attend the International Asia-Pacific Robocon Contest held in Hong Kong at the end of August this year.

The theme of the 2012 International Robocon Contest is 'Peng On Dai Gat' meaning 'Peace and Prosperity'. This theme is selected based on the idea of ​​the dumpling festival, a traditional festival of Hong Kong. During this festival, the players will have a race to climb to the top of the tower to win the dumplings symbolizing luck.

Based on that idea, 2012 Robocon will have many new points: This year's manual robot operator has to sit on the top and drive the control robot by hand; The collected robot will be supported by the automatic robot to get the cake from the 1st and 2nd floor and then drop it into the basket. to get a cake on the 3rd floor. The absolute winner of 'Peng On Dai Gat' will be calculated for the team whose robot successfully drops the cake on the 3rd floor into the basket.

With the above content, design requirements and difficulty of Robocon 2012 is very high but also promises dramatic and beautiful matches. With the coordination organized by Vietnam Television and Toyota Vietnam Company, all matches of Robocon 2012 will be recorded and broadcast on VTV2.
