Strange girl 'giraffe'

Lyudmila Titchenkova, now 16 years old, lives in the city of Nikolaev (Ukraine), surprising everyone who meets her because of a height of over 2 meters and a long neck like deer.

After reaching the age of 10, Lyudmila's parents began to realize that their daughter's shape developed significantly compared to her peers. She is much taller, her arms are longer than other children, but notably the length of her neck and abnormal curvature of her spine.

With the outside appearance unlike other people, then the pretty girl Lyudmila felt very bad and shy when going out. When she was taken by her parents, she was diagnosed with a syndrome called Marfan - a rare genetic disorder of connective tissue that could affect many parts of the body, most commonly in Heart, blood vessels, bones, joints and eyes.

In the case of Lyudmila, this disorder affects connective tissue in the spine, causing a 30 degree curve.

After undergoing corrective surgery and rehabilitation to straighten the spine, Lyudmila is now able to live a normal life, she wants to continue school and will try to prevent illness from affecting every day.

It is known that in the world, 1 in 5,000 people have Marfan syndrome. Heart-related complications can reduce the life of an infected person. Currently there is no cure for this syndrome, however, the infected person can prolong the life if detected early and have appropriate treatment direction.
