Strawberry planting technology harvested all year round

In the near future, strawberry farmers in the UK can grow and harvest strawberries all year round, no longer confined to their main season - spring.

Experts have developed a new red and blue LED lighting for the planting of strawberries in greenhouses.

In the near future, British strawberries will be grown and supplied year-round, serving the needs of users around the world.

These mulberry trees will be 'deceived' as spring to produce flowers, instead of thinking that it is winter.

Researchers at the Stockbridge Technology Center in Selby, North Yorkshire, said the light consumes less energy. Therefore, the cost of growing mulberry will be significantly reduced while the productivity is still guaranteed.

Peter Czarnobaj, a fruit product technician at Sainsbury, who receives funding for the study, said the goal of the study is to want British strawberries to be offered year-round, serving the needs of consumers use.

It is known that the number of UK customers who love agricultural products increased from 55% to 80% within the last six years, according to research by researchers at Sainsbury.

Wallings Incubator in Essex plans to use this technology to grow and harvest up to 30 tons of fruit next year.
