Strong earthquake in the Mexican-American border area

Around 6 am on April 5 (Hanoi time), a powerful earthquake of 7.2 on the Richter scale happened in Mexico's Baja California state (near the US border), rocking many buildings and causing panic. for people in both countries.

Earthquake epicenter is located at a depth of 32km, about 26 km south-southwest of Guadalupe Victoria, Baja California state, 64km southwest of San Luis, Arizona state.

Many buildings in the city of Los Angeles and San Diego in the southern United States have also been shaken and there is a flickering electrical phenomenon.

According to the Los Angeles Fire Department's initial assessment, the earthquake did not cause serious human and property damage, but a power failure occurred in Arizona in the United States and Tijuana in Mexico. Disneyland park in Anaheim (USA) has been temporarily closed.

At the moment, Mexican authorities do not have information about damage or casualties, while many aftershocks have been recorded.

Rescuers in Los Angeles are actively bringing people trapped in elevator buildings outside.
