Strong earthquake in Russia
A strong earthquake of 6.6 on the Richter scale occurred in Russia's Siberia region near the border with Mongolia.

The AFP cited the US Geological Survey (USGS), saying that the earthquake occurred at 10:21 am (local time) at a depth of 6.9 km at the location from Kyzyl, Russia, 96km to the east and from Ulaangom , Mongolia, 336km northwest.
Russia's Emergency Situation also confirms a strong earthquake in Tyva, Kyzyl, Russia.
"According to initial announcements, there is no damage to people and homes , " said the Siberia regional spokesman for the Ministry of Emergency Situations, but did not provide more specific information.
The ITAR-TASS news agency reported that residents of Krasnoyarsk city and Abakan in the vast Siberia region, hundreds of kilometers from Kyzyl, felt a sense of shaking, but there are no reports of damage and casualties.
