Successful farming of cold salmon on top of Ha Giang

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan Dung - Director of Gia Long Limited Liability Company, was supported and transferred the scientific progress of scientists, aquaculture at home and abroad, and salmon farms. Van in Sa Pa (Lao Cai), Gia Long Limited Liability Company has successfully put into trial the 1,200 Hoi Van fish at the top of Deo Gio, Chua Dan commune (Xin Man district).

Trout is a freshwater fish native to the Pacific coast. In Vietnam, salmon fish has been successfully farmed in some provinces such as Lao Cai, Lam Dong, Son La and Cao Bang.

Trout is suitable for feeding in mountain areas with many springs and cool climates at temperatures of 1 to 20 degrees Celsius and is able to withstand up to 24 degrees C in a short time. Salmon has high economic value in domestic and world markets.

With a cool climate and a wide, airy, oxygen-rich water culture, Van Hoi fish is growing well, growing fast, reaching a weight of 1.2 to 1.5 kg after 12 months of culture.

The commercial production of salmon fish at the top of Deo Gio has been successful not only for economic profit, but also for adding specialties to attract tourists to Ha Giang, to the western Xin Man district.
