Super volcanoes in America can explode early and wipe out life
Previously, a 2011 study showed that the ground above the magma reservoir in Yellowstone had thickened about 25cm in 7 years.
Scientists working at Yellowstone National Park said that the volcano located below the site could erupt earlier than expected and wipe out life on the planet.
According to National Geographic, researchers from Arizona State University analyzed fossil ash minerals from recent eruptions and found changes in temperature and composition that could only start from a few decades. century.

This discovery was introduced in a recent volcanic research conference. Previously, a 2011 study showed that the ground above the magma reservoir in Yellowstone had thickened about 25cm in 7 years.
Bob Smith, Yellowstone volcano expert at the University of Utah, said: "This is an extraordinary increase because it covers a large area with a very high rate."
About 630,000 years ago, a powerful eruption rocked the area and created Yellowstone Crater, a 64-kilometer wide pit that occupied most of the park today.
Researchers say super volcanoes have the ability to spew more than 1,000 km3 of rock and ash, an event that could cause most of the United States to sink in ash and cause the Earth to fall in volcanic winter.
The expected earlier eruption hypothesis was proposed by Hannah Shamloo and some colleagues after a few weeks of research at Yellowstone's Lava Creek Tuff, a fossil mineral deposit from the previous eruption.

Through analysis, the team found that changes in temperature, pressure and water levels below the volcano occurred faster than the normal process that could last thousands of years.
"It's amazing to see that the volcanic system only needs a short time to move from a quiet state to an eruption period , " Shamloo told the New York Times. She also warned that more research is needed to make clear conclusions.
