Carrots are cleaned on the field

Mr. Allan Fearn, 60, who was very worried about this year's harvest, went to check his field at Redford Farm in Laurenkirk after the North Esk River broke its bank. But he saw carrots stand upright while the soil around them was washed away by water. It happened when the farmer prepared the passage to harvest in a few days.

When the river breaks its banks, the water flows through the fields, but luckily, it flows in the aisle and hardly affects the carrots.

Mr. Fearn said the carrots were washed in the field and harvested easily although he did not want this phenomenon to happen again.
