At exactly 20:30 on March 28, many people throughout Vietnam were first called upon to turn off unnecessary lights and electrical equipment for one hour on Earth Hour.

On February 25, Hanoi announced that it will turn off the power at 20:30 to 21:30 on March 28 to join the Earth Hour campaign.
