The ancient forest was discovered nearly 6m underground in a place where for tens of thousands of years there were no large trees, only shrubs and other low vegetation.

Researchers discovered the bodies of 35 penguins in the Falkland Islands in the South Atlantic on January 19, two of which tested positive for the H5N1 virus.

The more used lobster mollusks defeat the gentoo penguin, the enemy 13 times longer than it, to defend themselves off the Falkland Islands.
