turning seawater into fresh water
Engineers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (USA) have invented a cheap device that can turn seawater into drinking water using solar energy.
One day, the system will filter 18 m3 of sea water into living water for people and soldiers in Truong Sa to use.
American engineers invented a new way of filtering seawater, which filters salt water up to 70% higher than graphene, which could solve the freshwater crisis in the long run.
'This solar water filtration technology can solve the problem of lack of clean water for nearly 1 billion people on Earth,' said Rice University water treatment expert Qilin Li.
