vaccines against malaria

A new finding by scientists from Singapore's Nanyang Technological University (NTU) brings promise about the possibility of developing a vaccine against malaria.

According to the magazine, out of 40 people aged 20 to 44 who participated in the trial, 9 adults were vaccinated with the strongest dose, 6 were 100% protected.

A highly anticipated malaria vaccine did not achieve the expected results in a recent trial in children aged 6 to 12 weeks when its protective effect was only about 30%.
