Scientists have confirmed the existence of a new stingray, called freshwater stingrays in the Himantura kittipongi river, Thailand. This discovery has contributed to the diversity of Thailand's fish fauna, and scientists have also called on local people to protect their habitat to ensure the existence of this new species.
Last month, two senior biologists, Chavalit Vidthayanon and the Smithsonian of the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), confirmed the new stingray.
Scientists claim that this finding has contributed to the high diversity of Thai fish fauna.

With a width of 60 cm, stingrays called Kittipong Jaruthanin have 12-14 rows of lower jaw bone - more than other stingrays.
A representative of the World Wide Fund for Nature-WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature-WWF) in an information released on April 12 said that the stingray species resides in the Himantura kittipongi river bottom by an expert. Thai fish industry discovered from two years ago.
It is now kept in a house pond.
In an interview with AFP news agency, scientist Chavalit Vidthayanon said that in the future Thai officials must be responsible for managing the fish habitat.
This is not only aimed at preserving this species but also for local people, protecting the water environment and other ecosystems. "
