The boy ate no longer

Ben Green, 10, has always been supervised by his parents for hours to prevent him from eating anything in his hand . including cat food and toothpaste.

Boy Ben, who lives with his parents in Chaddensden (England), suffers from a rare Prader-Willi syndrome (PWS) that makes him hungry all the time. This syndrome is caused by a mutation of chromosome 15 - an unpredictable genetic accident. According to experts, the incidence of this syndrome is 1 / 22,000 people.

PWS syndrome makes Ben's brain unaware that the stomach is full. If the diet is not monitored and controlled, the boy will be obese and may be dangerous to life. Therefore, Ben's parents often supervise him in case he can't control his emotions.

'If you don't get caught up, Ben will eat anything. Hunger can make our son overcome all emotions. When we had to say no and that was when my son started crying. Sometimes I couldn't hold my heart when I watched my son cry. But I have to be as strong as possible because I know that I have to help my son, " Ben's Angela Booth, told the Daily Mail.

Ben must follow a strict diet to ensure PWS syndrome does not endanger his health. However, this 10-year-old boy was obese in part PWS syndrome and partly because he had scoliosis to move by wheelchair. This limits Ben's calorie consumption, but he still has an appetite.

One of the most difficult things for Ben's parents is to refuse simple foods and he likes it. Angela tells a family party into a nightmare when she decides to allow Ben to eat an ice cream.

'We are working in the garden and I have the exception to allow Ben to eat an ice cream. While I did not notice, a bee stuck in an ice cream cone and Ben took the bee into his mouth. It burned but the boy continued to eat. We have to throw away the ice cream and that makes him wild , 'Angela said.
