Krasnoyarsk city swimming club gathers members regardless of the young and old who share a strange passion for immersing themselves in the icy water of the typical cold Siberia.

The Cryophile Club only has a small wooden house on the banks of the Yenisei River, which serves as a meeting place for more than 300 members.Cryophile is a powerful group of microorganisms that grow in cold temperatures.Members of the age-old club range from babies to 79-year-olds.They are students, engineers, retired workers or water plant employees.

The members of Cryophile have a special interest in swimming when temperatures drop to -30 degrees Celsius or lower in Siberia's prolonged cold weather.In addition, there are many other interesting activities of the club such as pouring cold water on each other to celebrate the "Polar Bear" at the zoo in the outskirts of Krasnoyarsk, Siberia.
