The Dead Sea will quickly disappear if its evaporation rate remains at 1 meter / year. According to the researcher, the reason is that people have abused the source waters from the Jordan River into the Dead Sea to serve the needs of drinking water.

However, Professor Jonathen Laronne and graduate student Yaniv Munwes of BGU have invented a direct measurement of the structure of spring-flow flows at the seabed in the hope that this situation may soon be overcome.
