The first virtual cluster computing model in Vietnam
IBM uses virtual cluster computing to build the Vietnam Science and Technology Portal, allowing users to add information to the Web and many tools to set up online communities.
On November 13, 2007, at the IBM Forum called "Innovation and Innovation in a Global Integration Environment" held in Hanoi, IBM demonstrated the process of virtual cluster computing technologies, running on machines. IBM bladeCenters blade owner uses Power and x86 processors, provides and allocates resources in an application when the workload changes.
According to Dr. Willy Chiu, vice president of IBM's Software Division, used the virtual cluster computing model to coordinate with the Ministry of Science and Technology to build the Vietnam Science and Technology Portal (VISTA Innovation Portal - VIP). This is the first project to deploy virtual cluster computing in Vietnam.
Take advantage of Web 2.0 technology, VIP port makes the current content and static structure of Vietnam Information and Science Information Technology website (VISTA) become alive dynamic, flexible and richer. VIP gate will be deposited at IBM Almaden Scientific Research Center in the US.

' VIP gate, built with the support of IBM, will help create a full and dynamic information channel for scientific research community and universities and some government agencies of Vietnam. , contributing to promoting creativity and innovation in these organizations ', Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Tran Quoc Thang commented.
In order to support the development of the necessary skills for users, the VIP portal will provide teaching materials for the Service Science Management and Engineering (SSME) program and the Service Teaching Program. Information Technology (IT Services Curriculum - ITSC). These are two new curricula for IT students, aiming to equip students with diverse skills in the context that Vietnam is gradually transforming into a service economy in the future.
Universities across the country will be able to directly use the VIP portal to set up research communities to collaborate in teaching new skills to students.
VIP gates can support collaborative research at three levels: national level, city level and within schools.
Nationally, universities across the country can collaborate to share information and conduct research. At the second level, starting from Ho Chi Minh City, cities can combine to develop the workforce for the local IT service industry. University level includes internal links within schools. The first school to implement this program will be Ho Chi Minh City National University, consisting of 5 member universities, a research institute, a software park (software park), a number of research centers and Trung. The IBM Global Service Center is located on the campus of the University of Natural Sciences, Ho Chi Minh City National University, located in Thu Duc district.
Virtual cluster computing is a new approach to common infrastructure systems in which a large number of system servers are linked together to provide IT services. Virtual cluster computing is designed on the basis of the latest improvements in performance and performance on the cost of digital devices, greatly increasing the scope of IT environments. IBM has been cooperating to implement programs that use virtual cluster computing models with certain online corporations, government agencies, universities and businesses in some countries. IBM will launch the first, pre-integrated environments of Blue Cloud for general use, in 2008.
