The handset checks the freshness of the meat for 10 seconds

Researchers at the China Aerospace Science and Technology Group (CASIC) design portable handsets to determine the freshness of meat.

Marketers can use fresh sniffers for all meats including pork, beef, lamb, chicken and fish.

Researchers at the China Aerospace Science and Technology Group (CASIC) designed the handset to determine the freshness of meat, Sputnik News reported yesterday. The device, called the "freshness sniffer," operates based on special sensor technology, according to a team at the CASIC's Wireless Metrology Institute.

"It can tell you that the meat is still fresh or not fresh and needs to be cooked or rancid," explains engineer Niu Ye. "You only need to open the device and the application on your mobile phone, then leave the device near the meat for about 10 seconds."

"An unscrupulous vendor can easily deceive the customer's sense of smell and sight, and it is difficult to determine whether or not a piece of meat is prepared, especially at the start of the process , " said Niu Ye. to speak.

Fresh meat detergents can be connected to mobile phones via Bluetooth, detecting and measuring the amount of ammonia and other volatile organic compounds released from undercooked meat. It analyzes the measured parameters to determine the activity of bacteria in meat. Results are displayed on mobile phones. This device can be used for all types of meat including pork, beef, lamb, chicken and fish. The first design gives accurate results of 80-90%.

The team is looking to adjust the hardware of the device to increase accuracy. The design will be especially useful for consumers or buy meat from the spontaneous stalls in the market or countryside. This is the first fresh meat scraper built by Chinese engineers.
