The latest research by Chinese scientists shows that the average incubation period of corona virus is about 5.2 days and the number of new infections has doubled every 7.4 days.

According to AFP, the study is published in the New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM). The team said this conclusion was analyzed from the medical data of 10 patients. The researchers also followed the first 425 patients infected with the corona virus to establish two different basic characteristics of the outbreak. Thus, since it first appeared in Wuhan in December 2019, the number of corona virus cases has doubled every 7.4 days.
