The moment the Titan submarine exploded in a split second

On June 22, the US Coast Guard found several pieces of what is believed to be the submarine Titan near the Titanic wreckage.  Given the wide spread of debris found on the ocean floor, experts believe the submarine most likely exploded shortly after it lost contact with its mother ship on land.

From this, they speculated that the Titan ship had suffered a catastrophic explosion, killing all five crew members on board.

A series of pieces of the ship Titan have been found under the area near the Titanic wreck.

Officials said they found five different pieces of debris, including the Titan's nose cone and the master pressure chamber.  "The debris is consistent with a catastrophic master pressure chamber explosion ,"  Coast Guard Commander Rear Admiral John Mauger said.

Experts believe that at the time of the loss of contact, the ship was at a depth of more than 3,000 meters. At this depth, the enormous water pressure would cause any small crack to cause unexpected danger to the ship.

After the cause of the incident was announced, a video recreating the incident of the Titan submarine in the deep sea was posted on social media. It immediately gained millions of views.

In the reconstructed video, while performing the dive to the bottom of the sea, the ship exploded in just a few seconds. After that, many pieces of the ship were scattered everywhere.

Sharing with the New York Post, expert Ofer Ketter, co-founder of the private submarine manufacturing company Sub-Merge, said  the explosion could have happened in just a few nanoseconds . In fact, because it happened so quickly, the passengers on board most likely 'didn't even know it had happened '.

'They never know it's happened. It happens instantaneously, before their brain can even send some kind of message to their body that they're injured,' he said.
