Why the Barbary monkeys have shrieked typical shrill screams before, during and after sex, are still controversial in the scientific world.

To understand the purpose of these calls, scientists at the German Primate Center in Göttingen studied Barbary monkeys for two years at the nature reserve in Gibraltar.

The group found screaming apes in 86% of mating times. When the female monkey shouted loudly, the male ejaculated 59% of the time. However, if the female monkey does not scream, then the male ejaculates less than 2% of the time.

To see if the la is derived from the level of sex enthusiasm, the researchers count the number of times the male acts and its duration. They found that when there was a shout, the number of action phases also increased. In other words, shouting makes sex more hysterical.

Barbary monkeys are very common, they often have sex with many partners at the same time. This means that the sperm content of the males will be squeezed continuously. Females scream when they are most fertile, so males can make the most of their sperm. In addition, cries also help children become more attractive to their partners.
