Bacteria and the environment affect ancient mummies in the world

Decomposition phenomenon was discovered in a series of ancient monuments, including Apollo space costumes, walls of the tomb of pharaoh Tutankhamen, Chinchorro mummies and many ancient texts . The first sign of 120 mummies belongs to the ancient Chinchorro culture, in the archaeological museum in Arica, Chile.
" In the past 10 years, this process is growing faster, " said Professor Marcela Sepulveda of Great Tarapacá, Chile.
According to IB Times, humidity increases in the air affecting the outer skin of mummies. Limiting the humidity in the mummy storage area in the museum is about 40-60%, a higher level can cause decomposition and low acidification levels.
Experts at Harvard University, USA, identified bacteria as the cause of this phenomenon and the changing environment is a condition for bacteria to proliferate.
Ancient artifacts in the museum can be protected against new weather conditions. But the challenge for the scientific community is the protection of mummies that have not been preserved. There are hundreds of 7,000-year-old Chinchorro mummies buried beneath the sand surface in the valleys.
