Working with the People's Committee of Phu Yen Province, President Nguyen Minh Triet requested the authorities at all levels, the people of Phu Yen to prepare all plans to cope with the new flood in the next few days when the low pressure The zone in the East Sea is heading towards the mainland. According to the forecast, the area directly affected by this tropical depression is in the South Central region, including Phu Yen.
In parallel with the preparatory work, the President directed the ministries, branches and Phu Yen province to focus on hunger and rescue for people in flooded areas, to maximize the mobilization of local resources and military zones. and the Central Government ensures safety for people; allocating enough medicines, ensuring environmental hygiene and health for people in flood-prone areas.
The Government will supply food for hunger relief to the people, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development is ready to supply plant varieties to people in flood-prone areas for production recovery. The Ministry of Public Security and Military Region 5 prepared forces and means to support Phu Yen's forces to save people when needed.

Currently there are still many roads and works in the province flooded from 1-3m. According to preliminary statistics, material damage in Phu Yen province is over VND 95 billion.
At the meeting, Lieutenant General Pham Minh Chinh, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Public Security handed over VND 100 million due to the Ministry of Public Security officials and soldiers contributing to support fellow flood victims in Phu Yen province.
