Researchers from Danish pharmaceutical company Novo Nordisk said they have built a drug that can help obese people, including women and men, to drop by 9.5kg within 6 months.

The Daily Mail reported that the "weight-loss" kind of weight loss was named liraglutide . If true to the Novo Nordisk statement, liraglutide creates twice as much fat reduction performance as any other drug or treatment available on the market.

According to a Danish pharmaceutical company representative, liraglutide can also help lower blood pressure, increase "good" cholesterol and prevent and even cure diabetes (in fact, doctors have been taking liraglutide in treatment. this disease). Liraglutide is also advertised for its ability to make diets enjoyable because it creates a pleasant feeling for users.

The manufacturer is conducting large-scale trials, eventually over 5,000 obese women and men. This process is expected to be completed in 2013.

Previously, researchers have tested liraglutide on more than 550 overweight people, both male and female. Part of the volunteers were given liraglutide medication according to the recommended daily dose. The rest are required to take placebo or orlistat - the "gold standard" obesity treatment is often trusted by doctors.

As a result, those taking liraglutide lost an average of 9.5kg in 6 months, more than twice as many people using orlistat. In addition, 28% of those taking the highest dose of liraglutide had at least a 10% reduction in body weight, nearly 3 times that figure in people taking orlistat. In addition, women reduce average waist size by 7.6cm, while men's waist circumference also shrinks.

When volunteers continue to take liraglutide for another 18 months, their body weight remains the same. However, at the same time, those who were prescribed orlistat began to increase their need again.

If the new test results continue to be positive, liraglutide will officially launch the market after three years to support consumers struggling to fight over body weight.
